DE RODE LOPER
De Rode Loper is an enthusiastic chess club in Antwerp, founded in 2021, specifically for and by students. Whether you’re a beginner wanting to learn the rules of the game or an experienced player looking to sharpen your skills, you’re more than welcome here!
With a mix of camaraderie and competition, De Rode Loper provides a space where chess players of all levels come together. You can discover the game of chess or further develop your skills while meeting other students who share the same passion.

Cost
Students with a Sportsticker are entitled to a discount:
- You pay €3,- for a membership fee, instead of €5,-
Additional:
- Always bring your student ID card, as well as your smartphone to scan the QR code
Extra advantages
- Club nights are free if you’re a member
- Special activities often come with a fee, but members receive a discount
- You can join the Belgian Chess Federation under the name of De Rode Loper, allowing you to participate in official competitions

- Every Tuesday, from 8 PM – 10 PM: UAntwerp Campus Drie Eiken (D.R.013)
- Every Thursday, from 8 PM – 11 PM: alternating between Zomaar een dak and Prinses16
